The United Kingdom is prepared to move forward with utilizing the entire amount of frozen Russian assets to aid Ukraine's war effort, PM Sir Keir Starmer has declared.

In a joint statement, the officials of the United Kingdom, France, and the Federal Republic of Germany asserted that this unified step would escalate tension on Russia's leader Vladimir Putin and persuade Russia to participate in talks.

They clarified that the initiative would be implemented in tight collaboration with the America.

British sanctions have blocked more than £25bn of Russia's assets since Moscow initiated its comprehensive attack against Ukraine in 2022. Yet, until now, resources sent to the Ukrainian government using Russian assets had solely been taken from earnings and returns generated on them.

Sir Keir informed Ukraine's leader Volodymyr Zelensky that the Britain, the French Republic, and the Federal Republic of Germany were united in their aim to advance efforts toward employing the total worth of the seized Russian sovereign assets to conclude the conflict.

He added that further measures soon would increase the strain on Russia.

This announcement is subsequent to European Union representatives met in Copenhagen recently to debate using seized Russian funds for a €140bn financial aid to the Ukrainian nation.

Recently, American leader Donald Trump encouraged Group of Seven partners to take or utilize seized Russian funds, as reported by news outlets.

The total of immobilized Russian funds in the EU is assessed to be nearly €211bn.

Moscow executed large-scale aerial attacks throughout Ukraine on recently, causing electricity outages in significant regions of Ukraine's capital, the city, and multiple additional areas.

Two people were lost their lives and no fewer than 20 people were hurt in the attack, Ukrainian officials said.

In a message on social media subsequent to the attack, Zelensky stated that the cynical and calculated attack aimed at non-military and power facilities.

"What is required is not mere statements but decisive action - from the United States, Europe, and the Group of Seven - in delivering anti-aircraft weapons and implementing sanctions," he stated.

"Each restrictive measure diminishes Moscow's military apparatus," Zelensky declared, in a separate post.

Additionally that day, Zelensky told media outlets he would urge Sir Keir to participate in the PURL programme, under which Nato countries acquire arms from the America to donate to the Ukrainian forces.

While praising the Britain's consistent assistance for Kyiv, he remarked it should send a clear signal that it would participate in the system, as well as enforce more sanctions on Russia.
