The children's author David Walliams dropped by longtime publisher.
Prolific young adult author and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, according to an announcement.
A representative for the publisher commented: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the decision was taken subsequent to an investigation into allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable towards young women.
The firm has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, stating: "We refrain from speaking about confidential company decisions."
A Prolific Literary Career
Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.
A number of his titles, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
He has published over four dozen titles combined, which features a Christmas book called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.
From Screen to Page
He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE in 2017 for his services to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
