The City of Angels witnessed citywide celebrations after the Dodgers clinched a thrilling seven-game World Series title. Supporters across the globe joined local residents in jubilation, marking the initial time in a quarter-century that a team has achieved consecutive championships.
Victory Parade Draws Enormous Crowds
Local events included a downtown parade on Monday morning, a ticketed rally at Dodger Stadium, and spontaneous parties throughout the city.
Social media videos depict countless of Los Angeles residents packing city center avenues, many carrying homemade signs and Dodger flags. The team was seen traveling proudly on a open-top bus through the masses, hoisting the championship trophy proudly.
“My focus is already about the next championship we’re going to achieve this,” the star player stated through an interpreter.
The procession path ended at the stadium, where the team walked out to the rapper’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ spinning music and the artist driving a Pacific blue classic car around the stadium’s outfield.

Celebrations started well before the parade, with Dodgers fans lighting fireworks in the streets of Downtown Los Angeles on Sunday night.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto, awarded the World Series’ Most Valuable Player, commented directly about the win.
“We refuse to lose,” he said. “I love the Dodgers. I love Los Angeles.”

In contrast, the team owner was met with a less warm reception at the rally. Recordings from the event seem to depict him taking the stage to a mix of applause and jeers, with negative shouts interrupting his speech.
The World Series acted as a bright spot in what has been a challenging year for Los Angeles. An approximate 225,000 people showed up to the championship parade last year, and according to team member Freddie Freeman, supporters this year demonstrated equal or greater enthusiasm.
“It seems it’s nearly twice from last year,” Freeman remarked. “These fans are crazy. It’s so awesome to be a involved in this.”
